Premier League is finally back.. Manchester United suffered a humiliating defeat against Brighton & Hove Albion. The home side scored thrice in the first half to get the first 3 points of the season. Man Utd’s Romelu Lukaku and Paul Pogba got one goal each, however, it just wasn’t enough to rescue a draw.
Glenn Murray opened the account for Brighton scoring in the 25th minute. Brighton’s defender Shane Duffy did not take too long to make it 2-0 a couple of minutes minutes later. Romelu Lukaku made it 2-1 in the 34th min with a glancing header giving hope for a comeback.
The 24-year-old Ivorian defender Eric Bailly stuck his legs out and Brighton were awarded a penalty. Pascal Groß converted the penalty and made it 3-1. From then on, things became bad from worse for Jose Mourinho’s Man Utd.
Lack of intensity and desire in the 2nd half only saw a late stoppage time goal from Paul Pogba which proved to be too little too late.
Manchester United do really Brighton up my day!

I think there’s been more arms thrown in the air than passes completed from this United side today 🤷♂️
