IPL 2019: 3 unknown foreign players who can shake up the tournament

Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019 is just a couple of months away. It is the most celebrated and talked about T20 tournament for a reason.

IPL, over the years, has proved to be the perfect platform to cement the place in the national team. The mini IPL auction event held recently in Jaipur in November saw a lot of surprises.

A total of ₹107 crore was spent by eight franchise owners at the 12th edition of IPL auctions. Here is a list of 3 unknown players who can shake up the tournament –

#1 Liam Livingstone (Rajasthan Royals)

English cricketer Liam Livingstone was snapped up by Rajasthan Royals in the mini auction. A right handed batsman, he possesses the ability to take the game away from the opposition with his ferocious hitting abilities. He is also a very handy off-break bowler.

He scored 318 runs in 7 matches with a staggering strike rate of 188 in T20 Vitality Blast 2018.

He was sold to RR for his base price – 50 lac.

#2 Ashton Turner (Rajasthan Royals)

This Australian all-rounder was one of the two Aussies who got picked during the mini auction. He is touted as the next big thing in Australian cricket.

Tall and muscular, Ashton Turner can hit the ball a long way. He played for Perth Scorchers in the ongoing Big Bash League. He scored 378 runs in 13 matches he played. Considering how poor Perth Scorchers have fared in current season, the record of Ashton Turner is far more than just decent.

He was also sold to RR for his base price – 50 lac.

#3 Keemo Paul (Delhi Capitals)

West Indies new teenage sensation Keemo Paul is making the noise for all the right reasons. Having recently picked 5fer against Bangladesh in T20 match, he got picked by Delhi Capitals for his base price – 50 lac.

Just 20 years of age, he has got bags of potential and he can really prove to be a handy player if nurtured well.
