MI vs CSK T20: ProSports11 Preview, Playing XI Updates & Fantasy Cricket Tips

Having begun a season with three straight wins for the second time since 2015, Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will now be looking to replicate their record start of four wins (2008). Standing in their way are the IPL’s most reliable roughies (64.58% win rate as an outsider) in Mumbai Indians (MI).

Historically one of the league’s more consistent franchises at home, Mumbai have now won just three of their last eight at the Wankhede Stadium dating back to the beginning of 2018.

A CSK top-six collectively boasting more than 34,000 T20 runs has been barely needed so far, with the bowling attack collecting a staggering 24 wickets from just three matches.

Both sides will be keen to build some bigger partnerships, with MI and CSK’s highest partnerships of 58 and 61 the second and third-lowest in the competition, respectively.

Chasing is all the rage in T20 cricket nowadays, but perhaps MI could do better bucking the trend, given they enjoy a 62.22% win rate at home when setting a score.

MI have won six of eleven at the Wankhede as part of an overall 13-12 head-to-head record in their favour. Both teams have a positive record against one another when also winning the toss (9-5 to MI, 7-4 to CSK).

Fantasy Cricket- Players to watch out for

Deepak Chahar (CSK) has continued his impressive India A form, conceding a miserly 4.66 runs per over from his 12 bowled.

MS Dhoni hit a wonderful half century in last match and looks very hungry to score some more. For MI, Hardik Pandya needs to be pushed higher up the order.
