DC vs MI T20: ProSports11 Preview, Predicted 11 & Fantasy Cricket Tips

Two sides finding some encouraging form entering into the second half of the 2019 IPL season face off in Delhi as the Capitals (DC) host the Mumbai Indians (MI) in pursuit of a rare tilt at the finals.

Delhi Capitals are possessing nomadic qualities, winning three in a row on the road for the first time since 2012 – the year of their last playoffs appearance. Despite lamenting the worst all-time home record of all current franchises, finishing the regular season with just two away trips in six matches (including a one-hour flight to nearby Jaipur) could be of great advantage after a long campaign.

The visitors have shown some wonderful grit and determination in the face of ongoing adversity: not only are MI the only side to have collected three wins when losing the toss as of Monday night (2019 average win-rate 38.71%), they are also the only franchise to have won three matches when batting first – an impressive feat given that just 35.48% of the first 31 victors have set a score.

They’ll need to dig deep against a handy Delhi Capitals bowling unit, five of whom have sent down at least ten overs with an economy rate of under eight runs per over – the average run-rate in 2019 is 8.31.

Delhi Capitals have won six of the last seven H2H meetings played at the Feroz Shah Kotla, but MI were responsible for Delhi Capitals’ lowest ever home score (66/10) in their only victory (2017).

Winning the toss may not make life easier for Rohit Sharma: remarkably, Delhi Capitals have triumphed in seven of nine against MI when losing the toss, while MI have lost four of five in Delhi when chasing a score.

DC vs MI T20 – Players To Watch Out For

Shikhar Dhawan may be the only DC batsman to have passed 50 on three occasions this year, but will long for more consistency, having also faltered for 16 or less in four appearances.

Lasith Malinga (MI) collected his sixth IPL Man of the Match award on Monday – the most by any Sri Lankan – immediately after returning from domestic duty at home.

Stat Attack

DC’s 41.03% win-rate as the outsider at home is the second-worst of all 2019 franchises.

MI’s average Powerplay score of 50 is the highest in the league (after match 31). MI have conceded 64 sixes – more than any other side (after match 31).
